FogLit
Our work with Saint John, New Brunswick’s FogLit Book Festival captures the spirit of this beloved festival, the creativity of authors and writers involved, and the character of stories in the city through a mixture of iconography, typography, colour and introduction of unexpected and unusual tilts, imagery and visual character. Taking centre stage within the FogLit visual identity is an icon representing the historic Three Sisters lamp located in uptown Saint John, which acts as an embodiment and metaphor for the history and richness of storytelling in the Port City. The visual identity introduces dramatic reds and mysterious dark greys to achieve a subtly moody yet bright and inviting graphic appeal, which is complimented and reinforced by photography and colourful graphics that appeal to younger readers.
